Is JSTorrent safe?

JSTorrent lets a user opt into search plugins that fetch and run code from a URL they supply, inside a restricted sandbox.

JSTorrent is a BitTorrent client. Its optional 'search plugins' feature, off by default, lets a user install a plugin from a URL; the plugin's JavaScript is fetched with no signature check and run via new Function() inside a sandboxed iframe that has no extension API access. That sandbox's own network fetches are limited to hosts the plugin itself declares in its manifest, and the sandbox page isn't reachable from ordinary web pages.
