Is Launchpad Hero safe?
Launchpad Hero routes search queries through launchpadhero.com before sending users to Yahoo search results.
The extension provides a popup with quick links to Yahoo news, mail, finance, weather, and sports. When a user types a search query and presses Enter, the query is appended to https://launchpadhero.com/search/?q= and opened in a new tab, passing through the extension developer's domain before reaching Yahoo. The extension has no background script, no host permissions, and collects no data beyond what is visible in the search URL.

Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed Launchpad Hero contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
