Is Metric Unit Converter & Search safe?
Metric Unit Converter & Search replaces the default search engine with a Bing affiliate URL on install.
When installed, the extension sets Bing as the default search engine using an affiliate-tagged URL (PC=A1AM, PTAG=20231227). Every search query entered in the browser's address bar or the extension's popup is forwarded to Bing with these affiliate parameters included. The user is not informed of this change during installation.
