Is nCage+ safe?

nCage+ is a prank tool that replaces images on every page you visit with bundled novelty pictures at an intensity that increases over time.

On every site you open, nCage+ scans the page every few seconds and swaps in pictures (Nicolas Cage, rubber ducks, anime, censor bars or spin effects) at a probability you set in its options. A background timer raises that probability daily until nearly all images are replaced. If you switch to the 'custom' library and enter your own image URLs, those remote URLs are fetched on every page you visit, which discloses your IP address and browsing timing to whoever hosts them; otherwise all images are bundled with the extension and no data leaves your browser.
