Is Photo Editor & Search safe?

Photo Editor & Search sets the default search engine to a Yahoo affiliate URL that routes search queries through publisher tracking codes.

The extension overrides the browser's default search provider with a Yahoo Hosted Search URL containing publisher affiliate codes (hspart=ata, hsimp=yhs-002). Every search query typed by the user is appended as the 'p' parameter and transmitted to search.yahoo.com along with the tracking identifiers. The same affiliate URL is also hardcoded in the extension's built-in search bar.
