Is Prevent Duplicate Tabs safe?
This extension prevents duplicate browser tabs by detecting matching URLs and closing or switching tabs.
It compares newly opened tab URLs with tabs that are already open, either across all windows or only the current window based on your settings. You can apply duplicate prevention to all sites or selected sites, set exceptions, and choose actions such as closing the new tab, closing the old tab, or switching to the existing tab. The description says settings and the local duplicates-prevented count stay on your device.
