Is Rapid Image Search safe?

Rapid Image Search replaces the browser's default search engine with myprivate-search.com and embeds a persistent affiliate tag in every query.

The extension uses manifest-level search provider overrides to redirect all address-bar searches through search.myprivate-search.com, appending the publisher ID s=c8pr to every request. Partial keystrokes typed in the address bar are also sent in real time to sug.myprivate-search.com for autocomplete suggestions. Additionally, opening the extension popup triggers a request to fonts.googleapis.com, transmitting the user's IP address to Google.
