Is Save as GIF safe?

Save GIF images from web pages to a local SaveAsGif folder.

This extension lets you click its browser toolbar icon to save GIF images directly to your computer, usually in the Downloads directory. The store description says files are placed in a “SaveAsGif” folder and named with the image name and page title. It also notes that it does not work on GIPHY, 7tv.app, or GIFs with a webp source.
