Is Select and Speak safe?

Reads selected text aloud from Chrome pages through a right-click menu or pop-up text box.

This extension adds a "Start Speaking" option for selected text and a "Stop Speaking" option to end playback. It also provides settings controls, buttons to try removing page blocks on text selection or context menus, and a pop-up where you can paste text and press Speak. The description says processing is client-side unless a separately installed third-party voice extension uses network rendering.
