SimplyCodes is medium risk. Our dynamic analysis captured the extension sending visited merchant URLs, a persistent user ID, and merchant identifiers to both api.simplycodes.com and Google Analytics (google-analytics.com) on every recognized shopping-site navigation. The extension queries a bundled domain list on each page load; when a match is found (e.g. bestbuy.com → merchant ID 5106), it posts a shopping-journey event containing the URL and your account-linked internal user ID to its own server and a GA4 event to Google Analytics. Non-shopping sites are not reported.
