Is Snap&Read safe?
Snap&Read is a text reader that can fetch caller-supplied URLs on behalf of the vendor's wordbank.io pages.
Snap&Read reads text aloud, simplifies vocabulary, translates and runs OCR on page content, and requests access to all sites. Its background script also accepts a download-file message from the vendor's own app.wordbank.io pages and sibling extensions, and fetches the URL, method, headers and body that the caller supplies. Arbitrary websites cannot send this message.

Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed Snap&Read contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
