Is Temu Downloader | Download Product Images as ZIP File safe?
Temu Downloader sends the user's Google account email to a third-party monetization backend to check subscription status.
The extension bundles a shared paywall SDK (NbSdk) that, when a user isn't signed in, opens a Google OAuth consent screen and routes the callback through a third-party Cloudflare Worker before capturing the account email and writing it to local storage. Every subscription check afterward sends that email in plain query parameters to pay.extensiondata.com, along with the extension ID and version. The listing makes no mention of an account or subscription, and the code that flags a browser tab as "logged in" checks only for a few substrings in the tab's URL rather than verifying it actually came from Google or the vendor's own domain, so another site could in principle produce a URL that satisfies the same check.
