Is Video Converter World & Custom Web Search safe?

Video Converter World replaces the browser's default search engine with a Yahoo affiliate URL that embeds tracking parameters in every query.

When installed, the extension sets the browser's default search provider to a Yahoo affiliate endpoint (search.yahoo.com/yhs/search) that includes fixed affiliate and tracking parameters — hspart, hsimp, type, param1, param2 — appended to each search. The extension's own homepage also routes address-bar queries through the same affiliate pipeline via a hardcoded constant in html/js/constants.js. Search terms entered by the user are forwarded to Yahoo through these monetized affiliate links.
