Is YouTube™ No Buffer - Stop Autoplaying safe?

Stops YouTube videos and embedded players from buffering or autoplaying until you click the player.

This extension prevents YouTube players from automatically buffering media on watch, user, channel, and embedded player pages. You click the player to allow buffering, and once a player is active it can continue through multiple tracks, such as in playlists. An options setting can keep an already playing mini-player from being stopped when switching views.
