Is Awesome New Tab safe?
Awesome New Tab can sync new-tab notes, links, and settings to Google Drive after user authorization.
When the user enables sync and authorizes access, Awesome New Tab requests a Google auth token and uploads a JSON backup of new-tab data to Google Drive. The synced data includes saved links, notes, theme and display settings, and the extension can later download that file to restore the same local settings.
