Is Checker Plus for Gmail™ safe?

Checker Plus for Gmail monitors your Gmail inbox and, when AI Compose is used, transmits email subject and reply text to a vendor-operated cloud proxy.

The extension connects to Gmail to surface notifications and lets users read, delete, and compose emails without opening Gmail in a tab. When the optional AI Compose feature is invoked, the extension reads the current email subject and reply body from the Gmail DOM, applies a lightweight sanitization pass to strip recognizable personal tokens (phone numbers, SSNs, credit-card patterns), then sends the data as an obfuscated payload to a Google Cloud Run endpoint operated by the developer. The AI-generated draft is returned and inserted into the composer.
