Is ChemDraw Web Clipboard safe?

ChemDraw Web Clipboard bridges clipboard requests from any webpage to a local native messaging host on the user's machine.

The extension injects a content script into every page that listens for a custom DOM event ('cdd_clipboard_request'). When any page fires this event, the content script relays the payload to the extension's background service worker, which forwards it to the 'chemdrawdirect.clipboard' native messaging host installed locally by ChemDraw. Responses from the native host are returned to the page via a corresponding custom event.
