Is Document Converter & Search safe?

Document Converter & Search overrides the browser default search engine to Yahoo using hardcoded affiliate tracking parameters.

On install, the extension sets Yahoo as the default search engine via manifest search_provider, injecting affiliate codes (hspart, hsimp, type) into every search query. The same affiliate-tagged Yahoo URL is also constructed in the popup's search form, routing user queries through the extension's hardcoded affiliate parameters. Users cannot configure or remove these tracking parameters without uninstalling the extension.
