Is Gossip Site Blocker safe?

Blocks chosen URLs and keywords from appearing in pages and search-style results.

This extension lets users block arbitrary URLs, such as specific accounts on Twitter, and block content by keyword. It supports soft hiding or hard erasing blocked items, including card-style search results, news, and video, and aims to prevent blocked sites from appearing even briefly. The description notes that this may cause some page layout changes until the window is resized.
