Is Karma | Online shopping, but better safe?
Karma navigates inactive Facebook profile tabs to read a birth year and send it to www.karmanow.com.
When a matching inactive Facebook tab is open, Karma sends an AdvancedScrape message to content code that clicks through profile UI and reads birthday text. It converts the value to a birth year and submits it to Karma's users/update_birth_year API at www.karmanow.com.

Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed Karma | Online shopping, but better contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
