Is Minimal New Tab safe?
Minimal New Tab sends your location coordinates to weather and mapping services for its new-tab weather widget.
Minimal New Tab enables its weather widget by default and asks the browser for your current location when the new tab page loads. It sends latitude and longitude to Open-Meteo for current weather and to Nominatim/OpenStreetMap to resolve the location name, then caches the displayed result locally for 30 minutes.

Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed Minimal New Tab contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
