Is PAGENOTE – Web Highlighter & Notes safe?

Highlight web text, add page-specific notes, and save snapshots for later reference.

This extension lets you mark important content on webpages with multiple highlight colors and anchored locations. It stores notes with the page so they appear when you revisit, supports smart bookmarks and tags, and can save webpage snapshots for history viewing. It also supports backup, restore, and export to formats such as JSON and Markdown, and the description says it works offline without requiring login.
