Is Planet Search safe?
Planet Search overrides the browser's default search engine to planet-search.com, routing all omnibox queries to that domain.
On install, the extension sets planet-search.com as the default search provider via a manifest search_provider override, without any additional user prompt. Every search typed into the address bar is sent to planet-search.com instead of the user's previously chosen search engine. The popup UI also sends searches directly to planet-search.com.

Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed Planet Search contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
