Is Productivity Boost & Search safe?

Productivity Boost & Search overrides the default search engine to Yahoo with affiliate tracking and sends IPs to productivityboost.net.

The extension replaces the browser's default search engine with Yahoo through a hardcoded affiliate URL with publisher-specific tracking parameters, routing all search bar queries through Yahoo's affiliate program. Each time the extension's new-tab page opens, it automatically fetches a GeoIP endpoint at productivityboost.net, transmitting the user's IP address and receiving their city to display on a clock widget.
