Is smash.gg Japanese Tag Romanizer safe?

This extension shows romanized versions of Japanese player tags on start.gg.

It adds romanizations for tags containing hiragana or katakana on the esports site start.gg, formerly smash.gg. When you mouse over a supported Japanese tag, it displays the romanized version, including select irregular romanizations listed by the developer.
