Is vCaptions – Video Caption List safe?

vCaptions transmits the logged-in user's email address to PostHog on startup and login events.

When the extension starts, it initialises PostHog analytics and immediately sends the stored user's numeric ID and email address to app.posthog.com if a session exists; the same data is sent on each login. Analytics run by default unless the user has explicitly opted out via a sync-storage flag. The extension also intercepts YouTube API responses on youtube.com to extract video IDs, titles, and subtitle text for its caption and translation features.
