Is Volume Manager safe?

Controls the volume of individual browser tabs separately.

This open-source extension lets you adjust the audio volume for any tab independently. The description notes that after modifying a tab’s volume, fullscreen toggling for that tab may not work, and Chrome may prevent sleep, suspend, or monitor-off behavior while the tab is marked as capturing.
