Is Gemini Power Kit: Your Essential Companion safe?

Adds productivity tools to Gemini chats, including selected-text prompts, chat outlines, notifications, and prompt chains.

This extension helps users work in Gemini by letting them ask about selected text, create custom prompt shortcuts, navigate long chats with an outline, and receive desktop notifications when replies or media are ready. It also supports chained prompt workflows, visual themes, custom wallpapers, tab title updates, and opening library media in a new tab. The description says processing happens locally on the user’s machine.
