Is Newt - A Better New Tab safe?
This extension replaces Chrome’s new tab page with bookmark-based shortcuts, apps, and recent browsing sections.
It shows favorite sites from a special bookmarks folder alongside installed Chrome apps, most visited sites, recently added bookmarks, recently closed tabs, and tabs from other devices. Its settings include an in-app theme builder for customizing colors, and bookmark-based categories and sites can sync through your Google Account.

Where it sends data
Destinations our analysis observed Newt contacting. Sending data somewhere is not a finding on its own - an extension that syncs your settings has to talk to its own server - but it is where your data can go, and who else it goes to.
