Is Background Playback Helper (YouTube & Vimeo) safe?
This extension helps keep YouTube and Vimeo audio playing in the background.
It supports background playback when switching apps or locking the screen on Firefox for Android, and helps prevent videos from pausing when switching tabs on Firefox Desktop. On YouTube and YouTube Music, it can dismiss “Still watching?” and “Video paused. Continue watching?” prompts, with a popup for toggling features and an active-site indicator. The description states that its logic runs locally and no user data is collected or transmitted.
