Is Adaptive Tab Bar Color safe?

Adaptive Tab Bar Color reads the active tab's page theme and applies matching colors to the Firefox browser chrome.

The extension injects a content script into every page to detect the dominant color from the site's theme-color meta tag or favicon. It passes this color to a background script, which calls the browser's theme API to recolor the tab bar in real time. No user data is sent to external servers; all processing occurs locally within the browser.
