Is View PDF safe?

View PDF's new tab search streams every keystroke to viewpdf.org and redirects results through a monetized ad network.

View PDF overrides Chrome's new tab page with its own search interface. Each character typed into that search box is sent live to viewpdf.org's autosuggest endpoint, and submitting a search or clicking a suggestion routes the query through viewpdf.org, which redirects to a third-party search-syndication service tagged with a fixed affiliate id rather than to the browser's configured default search engine.
