OpenOffice Writer is critical risk. We observed the extension sending visited page URLs to an OffiDocs endpoint when tabs were activated or updated. The request puts the visited URL in the filepath query parameter as hex text and includes the same recurring user identifier, u=gnfh4zvge3. Visits to Google, Amazon, and Facebook produced HTTP 200 requests to the same endpoint, allowing the server to reconstruct a browsing-history trail. The extension generates a persistent user ID and stores it in Chrome storage when it first runs. It then sends that ID to OffiDocs server requests, linking browsing-history and storage-derived activity across browser sessions.
